Electronic Work Queue Software Enhancement

The latest software enhancement  available as part of NMS V5.20 extends the level of real time works order status visibility within our electronic Work Queue software. The latest software enhancement provides a graphical indication of the status of a job in relation to its planned start time for queued jobs or planned finish time for jobs that have been started.

Seiki’s electronic Work Queue software is designed to deliver accurate and current job information to the operator on the shop floor direct from the company’s ERP, MRP or APS system. When used in conjunction with Seiki’s data collection modules the operator is able to confirm the start and completion of each job to support Work In Progress (WIP) tracking. This enhancement displays explicit status descriptions such as Queued Late or Started Overun on the shop floor terminal to show whether the active works order is currently on target against planned times. An identical view only version can be delivered to an office environment with the Work Queue Viewer, providing the business with a fast, simple and live view of the shop floor .

This level of detail ensures that companies are able to work in a more real-time collaborative way by aligning people and processes in the goal of achieving on-time deliveries and customer satisfaction. It also brings the shop floor closer to the planning process by providing clear indicators of the real implications to subsequent jobs that are queued to the resource and focuses users on the information that is of real value to the business.
