OEE = Availability x Performance x Quality Rate
- See where you are losing time and productivity
- Generate a standard measurement for analysis and benchmarking
- Reduce costs by avoiding unnecessary purchases
- Concentrate on the areas that will provide the greatest R.O.I
Everyone has heard of or read about OEE but what can it really do for your business? Are you really aware of how and where you are losing time and efficiency on your shopfloor? By calculating the Overall Equipment Effectiveness of your existing assets you can optimise their usage and reduce wastage. This means ultimately reducing your costs by avoiding unnecessary purchases and minimising downtime.
Seiki Systems Accumulative OEE uses data recorded through each CNC machine tool and has been made flexible so that relevant management reports can be created for all machines connected into the system. This can be applied to:-
- selected or targeted machines
- to multiple or individual jobs or works order numbers
and can be collated over a selected period of time or to compare several periods of time.
Generating a standard measurement that can be used for benchmarking and analysis is an essential tool for any business. Recording data manually is a labour intensive, time consuming activity. Seiki Systems Automatic OEE calculations are based on access to logged records obtained from the machine tool to provide true up-to-the minute data. This means small events that are often missed or recorded inaccurately are taken into account allowing you to base decisions on factual and complete information. By analysing the reasons for lost productivity and by generating reports you can then track improvements to support your business growth.
Managing your downtime and monitoring the real time status of your production is essential in the battle to remain competitive!
What does it do
The OEE Analysis software combines the measurements of machine availability, productivity and the quality of parts produced to give a simple measure of how well a machine is being used. If there is no lost time, all of the parts are produced at the planned rate and there is no scrap, the OEE figure will be 100%.
The OEE software displays the machine performance results for individual jobs with the additional benefit of providing accumulative results for multiple jobs over a selectable period of time.
- Uses aerospace standards or specified calculations
- OPC and SQL interface to pass machine activity recording for remote OEE analysis
- Eliminates the need for manual paper based data collection and time consuming calculations
Typical User
Manufacturing management who have direct responsibility for production efficiency and need a single performance metric to gauge the effectiveness of machinery in either small or large batch production.
